Abstract
This paper focuses on the Japanese language provision in Scottish primary/secondary education, including an overview of Scottish Education, Languages policy, qualifications and development, and approaches to developing Japanese as a foreign language (JFL) in Scottish classroom. The paper is based on <Yasashii Nihongo> (Easy Japanese) as a key concept for JFL (Japanese as a foreign language) children in Scotland and beyond.
