Abstract

The Al(γ, p) reaction has been studied at a missing-energy resolution of ∼ 500 keV using tagged photons in the energy range E = 46-65 MeV. Angular distribution of proton groups leading to low-lying Mg states and protons leading to the continuum above the Al(γ, pn) threshold are reported for the angular range 60°-105°. The results are considered with respect to the direct knockout model and the quasi-deuteron model.
