A Matched Aperture Photometry Pipeline Incorporated into the WFAU Archives

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract / Description of output

We are developing a new matched aperture pipeline for data archived by the Wide Field Astronomy Unit (WFAU), in Edinburgh. This pipeline will initially be used on data in the VISTA Science Archive (VSA), WFCAM Science Archive (WSA) and OmegaCam Science Archive (OSA). The pipeline will use two types of extractor: imcore_list, designed by the Cambridge Astronomy Survey Unit, which takes a list of positions and then extracts the flux in a set of images at those positions, and SExtractor, which can be run in dual image mode, between a master image and a set of images that will be extracted from. The pipeline will run in several modes: large-scale matching between several bands (or epochs) in the same survey, large-scale matching across multiple and a user defined list of targets. We will discuss how this pipeline will fit into the existing curation software for the VSA, WSA and OSA and the data-model for the new pipeline processes.
