Abstract
The author makes an attempt to organize a series of ideas regarding the subject of the amount of time devoted to the psychotherapeutic interventions, the searching for its abbreviation and the development of short-term psychotherapeutic models, trying to answer questions like: On which variables depend the time where the psychotherapeutic change occurs?, which elements influence in the selection of the desired change?, why brevity and why a brief psychotherapy? What is the real meaning of brief? Which is the proper range of a shot-term psychotherapy?, and which are the adjustments and mobilizations performed over the variables regulating the period of time of the change more frequently used in Brief Psychotherapy?
