Abstract / Description of output

Article points 1. GPs are well placed to support weight management, as they have unique roles in conveying risk to their patients, can signpost them to appropriate support and often have a unique window into their circumstances. 2. The Royal College of GPs (RCGP) Nutrition Group has been established to improve nutritional health in the UK and, in particular, to increase GP engagement in obesity management. 3. In addition to its advocacy work, the group has developed a number of information and training resources, which are available at the RCGP website.
