Abstract

One thing that one heard once and again after the Covid-19 pandemic started is that ‘we need to keep the good things that have appeared as a result of this crisis’. Unfortunately, most of these good things do not last more than one or two months, either because there is no intrinsic need for them other than within a crisis situation or the colossal effort to upkeep them is not sustainable in the long term. The Zoom Algebraic Geometry (ZAG) Seminar on algebraic geometry was an exception to that fatalistic rule, at least for a while.
