Abstract
Almanac 2024 ce presents new works by Julie Louise Bacon. The range of mediums featured combine the rhythms of gesture, mechanical and digital processes to
depict scenes of urban, geological, plant and technological life. Four spaces explore the interweaving of microcosmic and macrocosmic scales, and the relationship between the local and the planetary: Atmospheres, Habitats, Inter-species and Ephemerides. The works were develop in and around Edinburgh and on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides during an artist residency in 2023 and completed in 2024.
