Abstract

A pioneer of feminist social science since the 1970s, Ann Oakley is best-known for exploring how knowledge is gendered and for her critique of traditional interviewing. She has combined quantitative and qualitative methods, including evaluations, experiments and autobiography, in path-breaking ways.
