Art and Instituting for a Feminist Common/s: Thoughts on Interventions in the New 'New Europe'

Abstract

A sequel to my 2013 chapter on the feminism and the curatorial commons in post-Socialist Europe, the article rethinks the feasibility of the original proposition, expanding the framework of what might count as institutional critique in Europe from a feminist perspective. The article notes the emergence of neofascism across Europe and the Global North, and the lack of either voice or visibility of European transnational feminism in Europe as a force against the aggressive forms of white supremacy and patriarchy gaining popular support.
