Abstract / Description of output

In this paper, we present signal processing methods for automotive radar imaging. Our focus is to enhance angular resolution of the radar image. We consider frequency modulated continuous wave signalling. We propose a forward scanning synthetic aperture radar methodology, which combines scene scanning and synthetic aperture processing. To take full advantage of this methodology, we propose two algorithms: i) a modified back projection algorithm, which capitalises on the target information available in range domain as well as in the azimuth domain, and ii) an algorithm based on state-of-the-art technique of compressed sensing, which preserves features of the target objects as well as parsimony of the target scene. Simulation results verify our proposed methodology.
