This paper will discuss methodological and ethical issues that arise from engaging with internet-based qualitative research. In particular, in this reflexive talk we will share some of the dilemmas, challenges and opportunities that we encountered in relation to analysing data that were generated through an education intervention which we led and which are publicly available on the Internet (blog entries). We will also discuss how we dealt with ethical considerations with regards to ensuring participant privacy and agency in the context of generating and analysing publicly available online data.
