Abstract
20 filmmakers, editors, and thinkers about documentary from all over the world were invited to have a dialogue about issues related to current documentary practice to celebrate the 100 th issue of DOX : " With this issue DOX - The European Documentary Magazine celebrates both its 100th issue and 20th birthday. To mark the occasion, DOX has gathered some of most renowned and respected minds in the documentary industry and asked them to engage in conversation." I was invited to dialogue with the renowned Danish editor Niels Pagh Andersen who has recently finished editing the seminal " Act of Killing" by Joshua Oppenheimer- a highly important film about the genocide in Indonesia. We talked of the balance between chaos and order in an edit and the role of the audience and the body in shaping work.
