Abstract / Description of output
Bots and beings is a solo exhibition of watercolours and collages on paper by artist Beverley Hood from 4th May - 2nd June 2024, at Sierra Metro Gallery, Leith.
As an artist mostly working with digital media and performance, Beverley began to integrate watercolour and collage into her practice during the Covid-19 pandemic. The works presented started as a means to reimagine humanlike representation in robotics and AI, thinking through the ethics of who, what and how is represented. This has evolved into a complementary practice to think through near-future bodies and beings. This is the first exhibition of the resulting exploratory works on paper.
