Abstract / Description of output

Presents international child protection data in order to compare England with other countries and inform research, policy and practice. Part of wider research commissioned by the Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) in collaboration with the Local Government Association (LGA) and supported by the NSPCC, Research in Practice and the University of Oxford. Presents 16 indicators including: child deaths, child suicides, recorded sexual offences, self-reported prevalence of abuse, online abuse, violent incidents, children in the child protection system, child trafficking. Makes comparisons between England and other countries, but also highlights difficulties in comparing child protection data across countries.
