Abstract
In 2017, the first adaptation of Manuel Vázquez Montalbán's Carvalho series was published with Tatuaje , followed by La soledad del manager and the acclaimed Los mares del Sur . Through the scripts of Hernán Migoya and the illustrations of Bartolomé Seguí, Carvalho's adventures were transferred to the cartoons published by Norma editorial. This study analyses this conversion and the desire of the graphic authors to turn the chronicle of an era into a fascinating illustration of the history of Barcelona and Spain.
