Abstract

Celestial Radio - PhosphorescenceSong for Sydney Harbour is a large scale research project, co-commissioned by Australia’s premier contemporary art museum, MCA Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney and Performance Space Sydney, Australia's leading contemporary performance art agency.

Celestial Radio - Phosphorescence Song for Sydney Harbour (LSSH) is a multi media interactive public sculpture; a Radio Station broadcasting from a ‘glittering’ mirror tiled yacht that transmits light and sound. This project is commissioned to celebrate the re-opening of MCA Sydney as part of the off-site launch program Local / Global Positioning Systems.
