Abstract / Description of output

This chapter explores supervision, a flexible practice, which is used to develop and maintain the interpersonal, therapeutic and professional skills of mental health nurses. The chapter begins by discussing what is meant by the term supervision, and how it is used in mental health nursing, before going on to explore the supervision relationship, some of the key elements of supervision, before addressing issues to consider when establishing a supervision practice.
