New body of work designed and made for this high profile show. I made a series of large neckpieces exploring new surface textures with wire, loose coiling the wire to emulate the spontaineity of a drawn line and contrasting tight controlled surfaces with a new fine stainless steel manufactered wire developed in Japan. This almost fluffy multistranded wire was paired with 0.2 18ct gold twisted wire and crocheted loosley to create a loopy chain.
Another piece of work explored further the dense wire surface that can be achieved by repeatedly wrapping and binding a solid form in this case a fabricated silver tube. Experiments in fine soldering were undertaken to 'hide' the way the surface was stabilised.
