Columba and Jonah - a motif in the dispersed art of Iona

Abstract

The claim is that Iona also produced metal-work just before the Viking attacks, not only the Book of Kells and the monumental stone crosses. This metal work is now dispersed but some can be identified through motifs attached to Iona and Columba.
