Abstract / Description of output

The main aim of this book has been to present an account of how austerity has had an impact on the adult education sector in Britain, and to bring together chapters which are useful to those teaching and researching in the field, as well as policymakers and practitioners As discussed in the first part of this book, society is characterised by deep inequalities, the marginalisation of disadvantaged groups and too many people living in ‘left behind’ communities.
