Abstract

This was a substantial chapter in a major peer-reviewed book. The book launch was accompanied by a conference on the same topic at the Courtauld Institute, London.

The essay was an attempt to draw together diverse international contemporary art practices that seems indebted or in response to Darwinian notions of natural selection and evolution.
