Abstract

Refer to Chapter 3. Ferrets have a relatively short nasal cavity that leads to the nasopharyngeal opening at the nasopharynx. The trachea consists of 60-70 C-shaped cartilages and extends proximally from the larynx to the bifurcation of the bronchi distally.
