This paper elaborates briefly some of the principles and theories that underpin the notion of Ecosophic Urbanism and the architectural and urban design skills required to embody them. The paper also frames the basis of how architectural and urban design skills can be (internationally) transferrable across different cities and regions: as an extension of the sensibilities required to enact the interchange between urban and rural production and their respective and interrelated socio-ecological urgencies.
