Abstract

The present summary is based on the policy paper “English language teacher education in Brazil: Recommendations for educational policies”. Based on an analysis of Brazilian educational censuses, the policy paper proposes six action points that should transcend specific governments and be part of a long-term plan for the country. This summary is aimed at an English-language readership not
necessarily familiarised with the Brazilian context.
