Abstract

This final chapter draws together recurrent themes in the book before outlining potential future directions for research in the area of migration, language, and identity. The diversity of contributions in this volume, spanning geographical regions and embracing a variety of (theoretical) perspectives, underscores the profound significance of languages – both dominant and official and local minoritised ones – and identity within the wider realm of migration studies.
