Abstract

The Centre for Research on Families and Relationships was commissioned by Scottish Book Trust to evaluate Bookbug, their flagship Early Years Programme. The aim of the evaluation was to examine how, and to what extent, the programme is impacting on the lives of families in Scotland, and on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of early years professionals. The evaluation took place over a two-year period, beginning in May 2015. In this report we provide the findings of the research, including practical and realistic recommendations for how the programme might be developed in the future.
