Expanding Print Practice: A closer look at Edinburgh Printmakers programme of contemporary art interventions at Traquair

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract / Description of output

The lecture gave an insight into Reflective Histories - an ambitious programme of newly commissioned site specific installations at Traquair House in the Scottish Borders on show from 01 July to 30 September 2012. Seven artists, Calum Colvin, David Faithfull, Duncan Robertson, Helen Douglas, Lesley Logue, Nicola Murray and Rachel Maclean were commissioned by Edinburgh Printmakers to develop a programme of contemporary art installations and prints in the historic context of Traquair House. This talk will look at each artist's work in more detail, examine how each intervention responds to the site and the relationship of the medium used in that response in relation to the practice of printmaking.
