Abstract / Description of output

EPCC is a technology transfer centre within the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. It has assisted a number of organisations to extract extra business benefit from operational data. This paper outlines some of these data intensive, knowledge discovery projects undertaken by EPCC. It highlights issues common to these projects despite their diversity in solution methods, computational requirements and application area.
