Abstract / Description of output

In this paper, fan-beam tomography for gas concentration distribution with limited data based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) was introduced. Generated by a well-collimated laser through a cylindrical lens, the fan beam laser crossed the target region and was detected by seven photodiode receivers. Compared with the way traditional computer tomography was implemented, algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) with a priori information only requires five viewing angles with severely limited data instead of data from all angles. A total of thirty five projections were obtained to reconstruct the image of gas concentration distribution by using this method. The reconstructed results validated the feasibility of this approach
