Abstract
• FieldSimR enables the simulation of multi-environment field trial data at the plot level. It provides user-friendly functionality to compare different experimental designs and analysis models for their performance.
• Its core function is to generate spatially correlated plot-level errors
using either bivariate interpolation or a separable first-order autoregressive process (AR1:AR1).
• FieldSimR is available on CRAN.
•While the simulation of genotypic values is not implemented in the package, FieldSimR provides wrapper functions to facilitate simulation of genotypes for multiple traits in a multi-environment field trial setting using the R package 'AlphaSimR’.
