Abstract / Description of output

This chapter explores the connections between autoethnography and therapy through discussing three provocations: that autoethnography and therapy (do not) help; that autoethnography and therapy are (not) about the self and (not) about the other; and that autoethnography and therapy are both about intimacy. These are discussed in connection with the story of a client, Frank, who offers the author, his therapist, a gift.
