Abstract
A frequency domain system identification based multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO-FDSI) range profile estimation algorithm is proposed which is robust to both partial correlation among the transmitted waveforms and the digital beamforming pointing error. In this paper, a frequency division multiple access (FDMA) is adopted in such a way that each transmitter emits a conventional linear frequency modulated (LFM) waveform modulated by a different carrier frequency and the obtained range resolution corresponds to the total bandwidth of the receiver. The proposed method, in addition, has the property of free Inter-Range Cell Interference (IRCI).
