From post-qualitative inquiry towards creative-relational inquiry in (and beyond) the education/training of therapists

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract / Description of output

This chapter is a tale of two halves. Firstly, it follows the research journal of a trainee therapist at the University of Edinburgh, as she embarks on a post-qualitative inquiry (Lather & St. Pierre, 2013). We (I and you, the reader) follow her uncertain process and tentative decision-making and share in her joys and fears as she meets this approach for the first time. Then, reflecting further on this, we step towards thinking about creative-relational inquiry (Wyatt, 2018) as an alternative to post-qualitative inquiry, noting some points of difference between the two approaches.
