Abstract / Description of output
The Global Health Workforce Council was convened by the AHIMA Foundation (US) and the International Federation of Health Information Management Associations with the aim of developing a globally adaptable set of curriculum and professional competency requirements for the information professions - Health Information Management, Health Informatics and Health ICT. A panel of international experts undertook scoping research to inform the competencies and consultation with professional groups across the world to refine the handbook. Work took place throughout 2014-15 and the panel was disbanded in early 2016.
