Abstract / Description of output

Gonda is an original screenplay by Maria Fusco for the film Gonda, which was commissioned by Film London and directed by Austrian film-maker Ursula Mayer.

The book is developed from a series of interdisciplinary workshops where academics, curators, critics, and writers considered the possibilities of writing through or by rather than about Ayn Rand’s 1934 play Ideal. The book's key textual reference is the production structure of Félix Guattari’s unrealized 1986 Project for a Film by Kafka.

Screenplay on which this book is based is commissioned by Film London, and further funded by Arts Council England, Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture and The Elephant Trust.
