Abstract
This chapter introduces the distinctive role of the parental participation context in Scotland. A small-scale qualitative study on parental participation took place, which included interview / questionnaire methods which captured parental experiences on whether they believed they were able to influence change in the Early Learning and Childcare setting, if so how and if not why not.
