Here is the news from over there (Over there is the news from here): A borderless Twitter ballad fresh from the Middle East

A collaboration with Northern Stage Theatre Company.
The performance existed each night during Northern Stage's festival production Here's The News From Over There (Over There Is The News From Here). This was a show based on writings from 20 artists, writers, journalists, performers from the Middle East and included contributors from Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Israel......The texts were disseminated by twitter prior to the show and live tweets would feed in to the performers' improvised readings/enactments. I was on stage weaving strips in response to the texts and this was projected on to a large screen - mine was a slow transmission. The strips formed an artwork at the end of the twenty shows.
