Since its launch in the early 1990s, the World Wide Web has provided a fruitful ground for discourse analysis. A substantial body of literature, covering diverse topics such as Internet language, digital identity, hypertext genres and multimodal communication, has been produced, to which Hoffmann’s Cohesive Profiling is a welcome addition.
