Abstract / Description of output
An audio walk for Hope Street in Glasgow, starting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and following a route down Hope Street to the Argyle Street Arches.
This route has been at the top of the list of Scotland’s most polluted streets for many years.
Hope Street is a microcosm:
Abandonment, climate change, precarity.
And yet everywhere I look…
The buddleia, the birds,
The grasses poking through pavements, seeking the sunlight.
Walking down Hope Street takes us further than might be assumed.
