Abstract / Description of output

This chapter provides an introduction to the premise underlying the book: the role and contributions of humanitarian work psychology (HWP) to the implementation of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) thus far. Brief introductions to HWP and the MDGs are provided, after which the case studies which constitute the bulk of the book are introduced and summarized.
