Abstract

Neglected tropical diseases affect more than a billion people worldwide, causing ill health and perpetuating cycles of poverty. Behavioural change can help, particularly through hygiene. But to achieve this we first need to understand the complex circumstances that mean hygiene is not always prioritised.
