Abstract
We identify the fast, high galactic latitude X-ray transient A 0000+28
(=3A 2355+284) with HD 224085, a known RSCVn system. This strengthens
the suggestion that RS CVn systems are responsible for a significant
fraction of this class of X-ray transient. The hard X-ray flares provide
further data relevant to the interpretation of these systems by analogy
to solar phenomena.
