Abstract / Description of output

A novel strategy for mitigating high intercellular interference in a 4/sup th/ generation (4G) OFDM/TDMA TDD cellular mobile communications network with 100% frequency reuse is proposed. This strategy is denoted as channel-sensing TDMA TDD and it employs a modified busy-tone broadcast/channel-sensing mechanism to avoid and mitigate high intercellular interference scenarios. Results show significant improvements in system capacity and spectral-efficiency from the application of this protocol compared to the state-of-the-art.
