Introduction: The SNP in government, 2007-2016

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This special issue of Scottish Affairs is concerned with the record of the SNP in government since 2007. The purpose is not to audit all of the policies implemented, and all of the legislation introduced, since the SNP's victory in May 2007. Rather the aim is to convey a sense of how the SNP have approached government, and what their priorities have been, and to evaluate how successful they have been. With the May 2016 Holyrood election approaching, and the high likelihood of a third consecutive SNP administration, now is a good time to reflect on the imprint the party has left on government and public policy.
