Abstract / Description of output

'It Works! | EP at 50' is the second instalment of Edinburgh Printmakers’ 50th anniversary exhibitions. Curated by Ruth Pelzer-Montada, PhD, lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art, the exhibition is conceived as an installation and features recent artists’ work from the EP archive, including EP-commissioned publications and portfolios, and a specifically designed wallpaper which represents the ‘underbelly’ of the archive. Audience participation is invited through the digital submission of the public’s cherished ‘printed matter’ from the last 50 years. The exhibition will raise questions such as, what archives are, whom they (should) serve) and how they are changing in the context of a highly technologized environment.
