Abstract

The article presents the text of a speech by Navraj Singh Ghaleigh, Edinburgh law school lecturer, delivered at the American Society of International Law (ASIL) panel discussion, March 27, 2010. Ghaleigh discussed the efforts of the European Union (EU) to translate international legal norms into domestic culture. He talked about the contribution of public international law to the formation of the EU. Ghaleigh explored the implementation of the greenhouse gas emissions trading scheme in Europe.
