Abstract

This paper examines the complete filmography of Jorge Sanjinés, in an effort to bring both the man and his work to a new audience and to offer a systematization of the main contributions of his film production from 1957 until today. We will consider his formal and ideological inquiry and the political and social circumstances in which the
Bolivian filmmaker has carried out his work during an artistic and activist carreer which spans more than fifty years.
