Abstract / Description of output
Our contribution analyses the use of children's literature in approaches to teaching and learning about language and culture in contexts with significant linguistic and cultural diversity. Diverse contexts - especially when considered from kindergarten fro university - question about the development of competencies, particularly plurilingual competencies and multiliteracy competencies. Our paper examines the multiple literacy practices mobilised by the use of children's literature in classrooms, with a particular focus on examining the relationships between literary reading and the didactics of reading-writing, plurilingualism, and languages.
