Abstract

Gareth Williams brought together the Hebrides Ensemble and Edinburgh International Book Festival in a new partnership to create a concert of settings of the last lines of novels, as suggested by patrons of the Book Festival. Along with five other invited composers, Williams composed two pieces for the performance which was the final event of the 2019 Edinburgh Book Festival.
