Abstract / Description of output

This article shows how, on the threshold of his treatise on ophthalmology, André Du Laurens underlines the importance of the widest possible publication of medical discoveries and places the whole of his medical discourse under the sign of transparency, transparency of scientific communication, but also transparency which structures in depth the theory of sight which he is about to present, linking the theory of vision and the theory of knowledge.
